Aldi is launching a never-before-seen wine that’s perfect if you don’t want a hangover

“No and Low” alcohol alternatives are growing in popularity. Fresh statistics show that a growing number of Britons are choosing to abstain from alcohol, with one in three Gen Zers opting for sobriety.

About a third of people aged 18 to 24 do not drink alcohol at all. However, those who do tend to drink primarily as an indulgence, to relax or to celebrate special occasions, according to data provided by Mintel.

In response to this trend, Aldi has announced the launch of a brand new wine that has never been seen on its shelves before. The budget supermarket is expanding its alcohol range with its first Blush Pinot Grigio 0%.

Priced at just £2.99, the 0% Pinot Grigio Blush offers shoppers all the ‘refreshing aromas’ of traditional rosé, but without the alcohol content. Customers will be able to purchase alcohol-free wine in stores starting July 15.

Aldi’s brand new 0% Pinot Grigio Blush is pale pink in color and features ‘sweet’ strawberry notes, balanced with a dry finish. For shoppers who prefer a refreshing white, Aldi is also reintroducing its popular Chardonnay 0% wine, priced at £2.99.

With flavors of white peach and vanilla, Aldi’s non-alcoholic white offers flavors of melon, pear drops and lemon. This launch comes as demand for Aldi’s No and Low drinks range continues to grow, particularly Zerozecco, which has seen an impressive 20% year-on-year sales increase.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, commented: “As our sales show, we are seeing an increasing number of shoppers coming into stores looking for new and exciting ways to enjoy smaller or non-alcoholic drinks. Our new 0% Blush Pinot Grigio is just one example of how we continue to innovate our offering so shoppers have versatility without compromising the exceptional quality that Aldi is known for.”

The NHS recommends no more than 14 units of alcohol per week for men and women. Remember to drink responsibly (18+) and be Drinkaware.
