Nuneaton town center is being branded a ‘trig’ as the council promises action this week

Council bosses promised action this week after locals raised concerns that Nuneaton town center was looking “washed out”. One pointed out the lack of planted flower beds or hanging baskets in the city.

At one point, the borough proudly took part in Britain in Bloom and Nuneaton won a regional title in 2001. But a local, who did not want to be named, pointed out to CoventryLive that there is a lack of flowers in the town centre.

“I haveI noticed there are no flowers in town. No hanging baskets, nothing. town looked terrible.” CoventryLive has contacted Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council about the situation.

In a statement, a City Hall spokesperson explained that visitors, shoppers and workers should start to notice a difference from this week. “ An installation program is in place and we expect the overhead bins to be in place from this week,” the spokesman said. “They will bring vibrancy to town centers over the summer months.”
