What time can I vote?

When it comes to what time polling stations will be open, it’s the same regardless of where you live or which polling station you use. The polls will be open for people to cast their vote from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 4th July.

After the polls, the counting will begin with the first results starting to come in overnight in the early hours of Friday morning (July 5). CoventryLive will be running a live blog of all the local and national news tonight, so join us for the latest results then.

How do I find my polling station?

If you are on the electoral register, you will be sent a voting card by post before the election. This will tell you where and when to vote. The polling station is usually a school or local hall close to where you live.

You can only vote at the polling station mentioned on the voting card. For the first time in a UK general election, you will need ID to vote.
