Huddersfield Town confirm second summer signing as former Plymouth Argyle man registers

Huddersfield Town have signed full-back Mickel Miller on a two-year deal.

The left-back joins the Terriers following the expiry of his contract at Plymouth Argyle, with the 28-year-old turning down the offer of a new contract from the Championship side to sign for Town.

The former Carshalton Athletic, Hamilton Academical, Rotherham United, Northampton Town and Plymouth defender becomes Town’s second addition of the summer, following the arrival of fellow winger Lasse Sorensen from Lincoln City.

“I’m very happy to be a Huddersfield Town player and it didn’t take long to decide that this was the club I wanted to join this summer, despite other offers,” Miller told his club’s website.

“I spoke to the sporting director and the head coach, he showed me how much Town wanted to achieve and that felt like something I wanted to be a part of. I’m an ambitious person and the club shares that, which immediately gives you a good feeling.

“I’m looking forward to working hard, enjoying an exciting season with my new team and getting to know our supporters at the John Smith’s Stadium better.”

Miller began his non-league career with Carshalton, where he scored 61 goals in 163 appearances before joining then Scottish Premiership side Hamilton in January 2018.
