Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen on emulating Haaland and Odegaard

The Norwegians aren’t doing too badly in the Premier League at the moment with Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard and goalscoring sensation Erling Haaland and new Wolves signing Jorgen Strand Larsen hoping to follow in their footsteps.

Larsen admitted he spoke to his international colleagues before coming to Molineux.

On joining close friend Haaland in England, he admitted: “I’m really excited and I hope I can score against him here and win 1-0!

“That’s definitely one of my goals, he’s a great player and I’m lucky to play with him in the national team and I hope we meet a lot of times in the Prem.

“I spoke to a few of my colleagues in Norway before I signed and we have a good link in the national team and I have a few friends there who are quite the stars in the Premier League so we talked about it a bit.

“But it was up to me, it was my decision and I had good contact with Wolves for a long time and they really made me comfortable and that was my final decision. To come here and see the stadium, see the facilities, it just makes it even better.

“I am very confident. I learned a lot from my two years in Spain. I had a bit of a difficult first year and then the second year was really good, I scored goals, I had assists and I had an impact in games and that’s what I want to continue to do here.
