Amazon is extending its free Prime trial to six months, but it all depends on your age

The Amazon Prime Day sale is on the horizon, with thousands of products set to be discounted on July 16 and 17 this year. It’s a golden opportunity to get items at a fraction of their usual cost, but a new move by the retail giant could see customers get a huge discount all year round.

Amazon is offering a hefty discount on its Prime monthly subscription, reducing the usual £8.99 monthly fee to £4.49 – an annual saving of £47.49. The offer is aimed at younger buyers between the ages of 18 and 22.

Instead of getting 30 days free, younger shoppers can get a six-month free trial, and once that’s over they pay a much cheaper £4.49 a month. Prime gives customers the chance to take part in price cuts with discounts on major brands such as Dyson and Samsung.

But the sale is not the only advantage. Prime gives shoppers the biggest discounts first and makes it easy to filter deals for your favorite brands.
