A man appeared in court on Saturday, April 3, charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life.

Ryan Paul Roberts, 25, of 118 Rawnsley House, Goodhind Street, Bristol, is accused of setting fire to an occupied police van at a ‘Kill the Bill’ protest in Bristol.

The incident is believed to have taken place during a violent disturbance on Bridewell Street in Bristol on Sunday, March 21.

Roberts was arrested in Plymouth late last month by Devon & Cornwall Police.
