Update: The man has been found safe after leaving A&E in Exeter

UPDATE: Robert Clifford has been found safe and well, Devon and Cornwall Police reported.

Police are searching for a missing man last seen leaving a hospital emergency room. Robert Clifford, 34, has been reported missing from Exeter.




Originally from Essex, he is not familiar with the city or its surroundings. He is said to be wearing black jean shorts and a white polo shirt.

He also has a white bandage on his left forearm. Police are appealing for information that could help track him down.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police are appealing for information to locate Robert Clifford, 34, who is currently missing from the Exeter area.


“Robert was reported missing from the Exeter area after leaving A&E. He is a white male, 34 years old, medium build, short dark hair, black jean shorts, white polo shirt, gray sneakers and a white bandage on his left forearm.

“Robert is missing from the Exeter area but is from Essex and is not local or familiar with the city. He has connections to the London area where he has family. If seen please call 999 quoting log 0800 of 29/06/24. ” Updates as we get them below.
