The 17 players officially leave Leeds United today in the first part of the summer transfer plan

Leeds United are set to say goodbye to 17 players today after their contracts at Elland Road expire.

Jamie Shackleton, Cody Drameh, Luke Ayling and Ian Poveda are just some of the names set to embark on new journeys away from Leeds this summer. Daniel Farke’s side narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League last season and will be hoping to bring in plenty of new faces in time for the new season in August.

Of the 17 players, LeedsLive understands that experienced defender Liam Cooper remains the only one who continues to have a positive dialogue with the club regarding extending his stay. Cooper has been away with Scotland at Euro 2024 for most of the month and talks are now believed to have resumed over a potential extension.
