Leeds United could turn to Tottenham Hotspur to land the midfielder Daniel Farke loves

Leeds United have attempted to seal a deal which would have seen Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp arrive at Elland Road alongside Joe Rodon as part of the transfer that saw Archie Gray head to London. Transfer negotiations have finally been completed without Skipp’s transfer being included in the deal, but could it still happen?

Our colleagues at football.london say Skipp was unlikely to ever be included in the deal that saw Rodon and Gray swapped out, plus £30m of cash heading to Elland Road, but that’s not means that the talks cannot be reopened for a particular settlement. , or maybe even a loan move for next season.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke is a big admirer of Skipp, having worked with the player during Norwich City’s promotion-winning season. Farke would love to repeat that feat with Skipp, who is now much more experienced and would arrive at Leeds a much better player than the one Farke worked with previously.

Increasing Leeds’ midfield options may not be the number one priority given the players who have returned to the club and those who have left, with full-back a clear issue that needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency, but that doesn’t mean that is not. it is not an area to address.
