Malabar Gold is to expand its presence in the UK and opens a store in Leicester

Malabar Gold & Diamonds has expanded its retail presence in the United Kingdom (UK) with the opening of its second store in Leicester.

The brand plans to expand its presence in the UK by opening stores in Southall, Wembley, Birmingham and Manchester.

The new Malabar store, located on the Golden Mile of Belgrave Road, spread over 2,000 square meters houses over 20,000 jewelery designs from 20 countries, housing bridal, casual, daily and office wear.

Commenting on the launch, MP Ahammed, chairman of Malabar Group, said in a statement: “We started our operations in the UK a year ago with our first showroom in London and I am extremely pleased to launch our second showroom in the UK Britain. UK, in Leicester in such a short space of time, which is a testament to the trust placed in us by our customers.”

Shamlal Ahamed, managing director of international operations at Malabar Gold added: “There is a very vibrant Indian sub-continent community here in the UK that deeply appreciates the art of Indian artisan jewellery. We have ambitious expansion plans in the UK and Europe, with immediate openings planned in Southall and Wembley in London, as well as Birmingham and Manchester.”

Malabar Gold claims to be the sixth largest jewelery retailer globally with a retail presence of 350 showrooms in 13 countries.
