PVRIS gig in Manchester canceled due to O2 Victoria Warehouse flooding

The O2 Victoria warehouse had to turn away PVRIS concert goers as the doors opened after storms in Manchester proved too much for the venue’s roof.

Thousands flocked to the massive music venue to see American pop-rockers PVRIS perform.

But the band’s gig has now been postponed, with the news being announced after the official opening time.

PVRIS said the cancellation was caused by a “massive leak in the ceiling of the venue” and shared a video of the venue with pools of water on the floor.

Fans who were already inside the O2 Victoria warehouse shared videos of water pouring through the roof inside.

Many said they were turned away before the band or venue had released an update.

O2 Victoria Warehouse posted: “Due to unforeseen circumstances tonight’s show at O2 Victoria Warehouse Manchester with #PVRIS – Sunday 12th May 2024 – is postponed.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and all customers are advised to hold onto their tickets until further notice.”

PVRIS said: “We are very sorry to have to cancel tonight’s show due to a massive leak in the ceiling of the venue causing flooding right outside the doors.

“We have tried our best to find an alternative to continue performing for everyone tonight, but due to circumstances beyond our control, there is unfortunately no option for the show to go ahead.

“We were looking forward to our first gig back in the UK and spending it with you and we are equally disappointed but everyone’s safety is our number 1 priority.

“We are doing everything we can to find a way to reschedule this show as soon as possible.

“More information is coming as soon as we learn more, we are in the dark as much about the situation.”
