Birmingham City, who recently appointed Tottenham assistant manager Chris Davies as manager, have yet to give him a single senior minute, although he is a regular in the club’s youth team.

Tottenham would likely add Browne to the U21s after the side lifted both the PL2 play-offs and the league trophy last season.

Professional midfielder Dante Cassanova has filled in at defense for the end of the PL2 season following injuries to Alfie Dorrington, with fellow centre-back Ashley Phillips unlikely to spend a season with the youth team after his successful loan spell in the Championship.

Brighton and Tottenham are chasing Brown’s signature

Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (3/7/24) that despite Browne previously rejecting an 18-month contract at Spurs following an apparently successful trial at the club, Tottenham are now looking to sign the defender after the youngster for 20 years rejected a contract. a new deal at Birmingham City.

Tottenham are not the only Premier League side interested in Browne, with Brighton also registering “an official interest” in the Birmingham youth player.

The centre-back has played for St Kitts & Nevis’ youth teams and with his future undecided, it seems a possibility that a Premier League side could secure Browne’s services.

Spurs Web Opinion

Browne would be another young signing following a recent trend in Tottenham’s recruitment, who have recently added Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall to their ranks.

Given the level of Browne’s recent loan spell, the 20-year-old is much more likely to be a plus for the club’s youth teams.

Even though the Birmingham youth product will initially feature in the U21s, he would be a welcome addition to a side that has struggled to have natural centre-backs on a consistent basis.
