Simon Birmingham discusses the ‘profound shift’ in Australia’s foreign policy on Palestine

Shadow Foreign Secretary Simon Birmingham discussed the “profound change” in the Labor government’s position.

This comes as the Australian government backs the UN vote on Palestinian statehood.

“They changed Australia’s foreign policy position,” Mr Birmingham told Sky News Australia.

“They have changed the position on a negotiated two-state solution, instead, to one where the government is telegraphing that a two-state solution could and should come before the hard issues are resolved.
