Take off for the Barnet election count

The election count for the three Barnet seats is taking place this time at the RAF Museum in Colindale and the Jewish News has just arrived to bring you regular updates.

It makes for an interesting location – especially as the results for Finchley and Golders Green, Hendon and Chipping Barnet seats aren’t due until 4.30am.

Party officials are tight-lipped at the moment. But wins in all three seats would be the icing on the cake for Keir Starmer on a night when his party is heading for a landslide victory.

Barnet was the scene of a famous local council victory for Starmer’s party in 2022 and a vindication for his bid to stamp out antisemitism from the party.

Votes for all three at-large seats are currently being counted.
