Manchester United’s plans for Jadon Sancho return to Carrington next week

Manchester United expect Jadon Sancho to report for pre-season training on Monday.

Sancho, 24, has not trained with the first team since being left out of the squad by manager Erik ten Hag in September and it is unclear whether he will take part in senior squad sessions next week.

United sources say Sancho is available for transfer and is valued at around £40m. United bought Sancho for £72.9m in 2021.

Ten Hag said he had withdrawn Sancho from the matchday squad for the defeat to Arsenal on September 3 due to his training performance and Sancho quickly accused the Dutchman of lying in a public post on his X page, formerly Twitter.

Sancho refused to apologize for the outburst and was moved to the changing room in the academy building at United’s Carrington training complex.

Ater had to change for training in a locked room for safety reasons as the under-18s were also on the premises.
