Death notices including the much loved great grandfather who played for the local football and rugby teams

A much-loved great-grandfather, who played for local football and rugby teams, was remembered this week after his death. Rod was a pupil of Bablake School in Coventry who enjoyed playing for local football and rugby teams including Pinley and Sphinx. The beloved and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Monday, April 15, aged 79.

Announcing the passing of a loved one in the local media is a longstanding tradition and we are proud of the trust placed in us to make these important announcements. Every notice published in our newspaper and news website also appears on funeral-notices.co.uk – the UK’s number one site for death notices and memorials.

Each notice stays online forever, giving friends and families a lifetime tribute to their loved one, a safe online place to share memories, add tributes, photos and make memorial donations. Each week we pay tribute to loved ones remembered in our area with a funeral notice and online tribute page.
