Claudia Schiffer’s cat Chip takes the spotlight at the film’s premiere in Leicester Square

Claudia Schiffer’s cat stole the show at the London world premiere of her husband Matthew Vaughn’s new film Argylle.

Moggy was spotted looking out of a window in the supermodel’s handbag as she spoke to reporters in Leicester Square on Wednesday.

Chip earned his place on the red carpet – with a starring role in the spy action flick.

They appeared at the premiere alongside co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Henry Cavill, John Cena, Bryan Cranston and Samuel L Jackson.

Also in attendance was Dua Lipa, who said she was “jumping up and down” after learning she had been nominated for three big Brit awards.

The singer and actress, 28, was earlier nominated for artist of the year, best pop act and song of the year for her summer blockbuster Dance The Night Barbie – in which she also appeared as Mermaid Barbie.

“I’m definitely on cloud nine,” she told the PA news agency.

“I got the news while I was in the makeup chair getting ready for it, so I was like jumping up and down really excited and I’m really excited to perform and get back on that stage. Lots of interesting stuff.”

The Anglo-Albanian star said she had “so much fun” playing LaGrange in Argylle, based on the best-selling spy novels by author Elly Conway.

She said: “It was such a new experience for me. I had never done anything like this before, I shot this about two years ago and to have such an amazing experience with Henry Cavill and John Cena, and they were so nice and made the experience so easy and so much fun.

“I loved every moment and I also got to sit and watch the other actors do their parts and like the big action scenes I had a blast.

“There were some really fun stunts that I got to do that I love, I just wanted to immerse myself in the experience.”

American actor Jackson, 75, said he hoped the film would have a sequel.

“I love making movies with Matthew (Vaughn), he makes fun movies,” he told PA.

“I like the fact that I think this story is more of an origin story than an ending story, and that if I do more of them, I’ll have a chance to do more, and that’s always a draw.”

Breaking Bad star Cranston, 67, said he likes how Vaughn “tries to keep everything straight.”

“This film is for everyone, it has no age,” he said. “It doesn’t matter who you are, economic status, educational status, it doesn’t matter.

“It’s escapism, you’re going to watch it, you’re going to realize that’s the audacity of this filmmaker Matthew Vaughn and what he’s always been able to do is crazy.

“And that’s partly why I like doing it, because if he always takes a big swing, he never plays it easy. He is always at risk.”

Cranston added that it’s “fun to play with actors who are really, really good, it makes me really work at the top of my game,” comparing it to a tennis match.
