Royal Enfield Bobber – Concept KX debuts at EICMA 2018 » MotorOctane

Royal Enfield debuted the biggest and most powerful bike they’ve ever made at the EICMA show in 2018. The bike is a concept bike that will be used as a platform for future bikes made by the manufacturer. The bike with its look and stance pays homage to an old bike, which is the most powerful bike ever produced by RE. The KX Concept shows how Royal Enfield Bobber will shape its products for the future. The bike is a clear signal that Royal Enfield is ready to take on the bigger bikes sold in India by Harley Davidson, Triumph and Indian.

Royal Enfield Bobber KX Concept

The KX concept is the canvas on which the Royal Enfield Bobber will be built. The concept pays homage to the Twin 1140V bike that Royal Enfield had. The concept takes cues and inspiration from the past and blends it well with modern pieces and design. The video below will show you the bike from various angles and its hidden details.

Launch

The bike is not a production ready model. So we will never see her on the roads. The bike will heavily influence future design, paint, specs and more. The bike is a concept vehicle and will not be launched. A Royal Enfield Bobber will finally arrive and will retain much of the design language we saw on the bike showcased at EICMA 2018.

Design

Royal Enfield Bobber is a low bike. This screams bobber in every way. The bike is seen here with a large single seat, large tank which is a break from the teardrop design normally seen on RE bikes. The LED daytime running lights look great with the projector headlights. It also gets a dual muffler, dual disc brakes on the front wheel, flat handlebars and a long wheelbase. The suspension includes a front telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. Dual-channel ABS is standard. The big twin cylinder engine is part of the bike’s appeal and looks very good.

Motor

The bike’s engine is a 834cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected V-Twin developed with the help of Polaris Industries (Indian Motorcycles). The engine is capable of 90 bhp of power and around 100 Nm of torque.
