Millions of Britons have a new MP after more than 300 constituencies changed hands during the general election. Labor swept to power as the Tories suffered their worst ever results, handing Sir Keir Starmer the keys to 10 Downing Street.

The UK political landscape was completely transformed overnight, with the Lib-Dems also making huge gains and the Reform and Green Party gaining seats. Meanwhile, the SNP has lost dozens of MPs in Scotland.

While 300 constituencies changed hands, more than 100 former MPs decided to stand down before the election, meaning millions have a new MP.

Locally, Labor defended all three Coventry seats, but there were huge swings in Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
