Klopp wanted a new job

Former Premier League star Tim Howard believes he can convince Jurgen Klopp to become the next manager of the USA national team.

In an article for the Daily Mail, he wrote: “After the disappointment of the Copa America, after the United States lost in the group stage, after the United States lost in the group stage, I personally will fly to Spain.

“I know Klopp has only been retired for a few weeks and I know he wants a break. But if we were to sit around his villa in Spain, I think I could lure him here. 100 percent.

“The money is definitely there. So my pitch would be simple: it has a young group of players who can play progressive, front-footed football – just like Liverpool’s teams. And in two years he can go to the biggest world. Cup in history.”

Her contract with her new club will run until the summer of 2027.
