Murder charge after Leeds pub attack death

A man has been charged with murder after a person died in a “serious attack” at a pub in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police said Nathaniel Philip, 35, of no fixed abode, was charged following the incident in Butterbowl Drive, New Farnley.

A spokesman said the victim died following the incident in the early hours of Sunday, which is believed to have taken place at The Butterbowl pub.

Mr Philip is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
