Firefighters battle three-alarm fire in Bradford County

A third-alarm fire in Bradford County left two people, including a firefighter, injured.

When crews arrived, the structure fire was heavily involved, the department said. Three occupants and two dogs had escaped the fire, one with minor injuries, who was transported to Robert Packer Hospital.

A third alarm was requested due to the intensity and need for water supply. The department said that crews had to maneuver trucks to complete water supply and tanker operations, but were able to do so successfully. Claverack also arrived to disconnect power in the area.

A firefighter was injured during the incident but has since been treated and released from the hospital.

Several fire and EMS departments around the area assisted in controlling the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
