Sheffield United could be behind Luton and QPR for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

Sheffield United want to take Crystal Palace playmaker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan, but the player’s desire for a destination could see Luton Town and QPR hold the upper hand. according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Blades boss Chris Wilder has just added combative midfielder Jamie Shackleton to his squad, with the player turning down a new contract offer at Leeds United to join.

Wilder wants to press on with the capture of Rak-Sakyi, who has no less than four Championship teams vying for him.

Blackburn Rovers are interested in taking the winger to Ewood Park, while Luton Town and QPR are making strong pushes.

Sheffield United may find Rak-Sakyi is proving to be beyond them as it is suggested he may want to stay in the London area.

That would put Luton and QPR in pole position to pull it off.

Rak-Sakyi has experience at League One level, gained during a loan spell at Charlton Athletic, and Palace may want to see how he copes with a full Championship season.

The Inter international missed most of last season through injury but featured in Premier League games against Arsenal, Aston Villa, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
