Official: Leicester City have signed Michael Golding from Chelsea

The unofficial counter-deal of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall joining Chelsea from Leicester City has now been made official, with youngster Michael Golding making the move in reverse. Action, PS-Reaction.

The value of this transfer is £5 million, albeit somewhat surprisingly with no future consideration for Chelsea – no sales, match options or buy-backs. The 18-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Foxes.

Golding joined Chelsea aged 12 from AFC Wimbledon and leaves with one senior appearance to his name, a late cameo in last year’s FA Cup third round tie against Preston North End. I don’t imagine he’s likely to break straight into Leicester’s first team, although he certainly has the potential to get there quickly.
