Royal Enfield: Is a 350 bobber on the way? – News – Moto.it

Rumors confirm the arrival of another model based on the Classic and Bullet mono 350. It should be called Goan and be a bobber with high handlebars and suspension saddle

May 13, 2024

Currently, the Royal Enfield 350 range already consists of four models: Classic, Bobber, HNTR and Meteor. It looks like the family of small classics is set to expand even further with a bobber model whose supposed name is Goan. Incidentally, in October 2023, Royal Enfield registered the Goan Classic 350 brand in India, and since then the speculations about which model could win this name began. A few months later, last March, the name was also registered in the United States, and a few days ago Rushlane’s Indian colleagues spotted on the streets a prototype bobber that appears to have been derived from the Classic 350 platform. In practice, it would it seemed to be the 350 alter ego of the Shotgun 650, with the typical bobber style features starting from the hanging seat.

From the submitted image you can see the tall handlebars and slightly advanced footpegs but it’s clear that most of the difference to the Classic and Bullet is in the back with a dedicated two-person suspension seat. The mudguard is attached to the swingarm and moves integrally with it, while the passenger sits on an additional structure that, however, is not clear whether it is removable or not, but probably does not need to be. In the spy photo you can see the black paint with white piping and whitewall tires, accompanied by long chrome exhausts. The stylistic imprint is therefore precisely that of the original bobbers and not of more modern interpretations, as happened with the Shotgun.

The engine seems to be the single-cylinder 350 that we already know and therefore 20 HP and 27 Nm with elasticity and enviable ease of use. The gearbox will probably be five-speed and it is normal to expect a few extra kilos over the Classic. In any case, it should stay under 200 kilograms.

Of course, there is no official news on this, but we think it would be fair to expect this model to arrive in the next few months, perhaps as a 2025 model year and, let’s say, with a slightly higher price than the Classic. but less than six thousand euros.
