Children’s tears after bloody violence at Kirby Muxloe Football Day

Children cried after a fun day of football ended in a bloody confrontation between two men. Leicestershire Police are investigating the incident, which happened at Kirby Muxloe Football Club during an under-10 tournament involving youngsters from across the county.

One father described what he saw: “It was after the games were over and the kids got their medals and prizes at the end. One of the teams had won a trophy and one of the other dads started swearing at one of the winning teams. the managers.




“Then she started punching him in the head in front of the kids. The man was bleeding from his face – it was quite awful and many of the children were crying, wanting to go home.”

The witness, who was there with his seven-year-old son, who plays for a Croft team, said he had witnessed a lot of verbal abuse at football matches – usually fathers shouting abuse at referees – but nothing like what he seen Saturday, June. 29. He said: “Some kids were so upset they said they never wanted to play football again.

“There is a photo circulating on social media that shows a little boy with a trophy and some of the man’s blood on his face.

“The man was eventually dragged away by other fathers. It completely ruined the day for everyone.”

He said it didn’t end there. “When I left, the same man was standing in the parking lot yelling at moms and dads,” he said.
