The six players could miss Liverpool vs Aston Villa as Andy Robertson’s call-up may be needed

Jürgen Klopp’s farewell tour reaches its final stop on the road tonight as Liverpool take on Aston Villa in the penultimate game of the season.

The German will make just one final outing at Anfield after tonight’s game as he brings the curtain down on almost nine years in charge of the Reds. He will be hoping to go off on a winning note as Liverpool look to follow up last week’s 4-2 win over Tottenham.

There is nothing left to play for but pride now for Klopp’s side. With Manchester City and Arsenal winning at the weekend, Liverpool are guaranteed a third place finish – it must not be forgotten how much of an improvement it is on last season.

The Reds’ opponents can join them in next season’s Champions League with a win tonight. Villa sit four points clear of Tottenham heading into the final week of the season, with a further six points on offer for both sides.

Klopp aims to leave Unai Emery sweating for at least another day as he aims to mark his final away game in style. He may have a major doubt ahead of tonight’s meeting.

Andy Robertson was a notable absentee from training last week and it is not known if the left-back has any kind of knock. Virgil van Dijk managed to keep his place in the team last week despite missing training, so the Scot cannot be completely ruled out, although Klopp may have to make a late decision.
