Super League attendances as Wigan Warriors lead the way with huge crowd in derby win

Wigan Warriors recorded the biggest attendance of the latest Super League round, with 16,053 fans watching their 24-6 victory over Leigh Leopards. The Warriors had two moments of Bevan French class to send them on their way to another two points, with Matt Peet’s side still sitting strong at the top of the table.

Elsewhere, Leeds Rhinos recorded a gate of 12,958 for their 17-16 golden point win over London Broncos. A late Rhyse Martin try sent the game beyond the eighty minutes, with Brodie Croft landing the winning drop-goal.




Over on Merseyside, St Helens recorded their lowest crowd of the season, with just 9,808 at the Totally Wicked Stadium to watch Castleford Tigers pull off a shock 8-6 victory.

Warrington Wolves saw 9,760 in attendance at the Halliwell Jones Stadium as the Wire hammered Huddersfield Giants 48-0. There is no attendance yet for Hull KR’s game against Catalans Dragons, with the Robins losing in golden points to the French side. Over at Salford, just 3,910 were in attendance at Salford Community Stadium as the Red Devils held on to defeat Hull FC 22-20.
