Coventry Railway station ‘major disruption’ warning due to ‘overhead damage’

A ‘major disruption’ warning has been issued at Coventry Railway Station. Transport for West Midlands has said that services from the city’s main station have been hit this morning (July 9)

This is due to ‘overhead damage’ between Coventry and Birmingham International Station. “Trains may be diverted, delayed or cancelled,” Transport for West Midlands has said.

There are rail replacement buses operating between Birmingham International, Coventry, Rugby and Northampton. Rail users are being urged to ‘plan ahead.’

It has said that this is due to an ‘object caught on the overhead line.’
