Flight from Bristol Airport to Malaga delayed after 30 drunken passengers ejected

An easyJet flight at Bristol Airport was delayed after thirty rowdy passengers were disruptive. The flight, bound for Malaga, was already an hour late when the pilot aborted take-off due to the disruptive behavior of a large group of young people.

Police were called to the departure gate after the pilot stopped the plane just before take-off and returned to the terminal. The group of men reportedly refused to be seated and insisted on using the restroom during takeoff.

Passengers had to endure another hour’s delay as unruly passengers took their bags from the plane and were escorted back to the police terminal. A passenger reported that the remaining passengers spontaneously cheered when the last of the disruptive group exited the plane.

EasyJet said it was taking the incident “very seriously”, stressing that it “does not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior on board”. A passenger told Bristol Live that the group of youths were already causing a disturbance before even boarding the plane.

Linda Sweeden, a passenger returning home to southern Spain from Bristol, described the chaotic scene: “The flight was delayed an hour while I was still waiting in the departure lounge and clearly that gave these guys one more hour to drink,” she. said.

“They were loud at the gate but luckily I was sitting at the back of the plane and they were at the front. There were a lot of them, apart from the first row for the elderly and disabled, they took maybe six. or seven rows at the front of the plane, there were at least 30 of them,” Bristol Live reports.
