NCR: Joseph Marshall “Joey” Brent

Joseph Marshall “Joey” Brent, 38, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Monday, July 1, 2024.

Joey was a proud combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He loved his four children and considered them his greatest contribution to this world. He had the biggest heart for his family, friends and neighbors and always looked out for those less fortunate.

Joey loved UT football, Braves baseball, a freshly cut yard, a home cooked meal and a round of golf. She loved watching Eli play basketball and they enjoyed their late nights catching up on sports headlines. She loved encouraging Haddie to play softball and cherished their conversations on the porch. He loved playing tackle and laughing with Ellison and Emilia.

Joey always made sure his children knew how much he loved them. His friendly smile, bountiful laugh, quick wit and bear hugs will be missed by many friends and family.

Children – Ellison and Emilia and their mother Emily, Haddie and Eli and their mother Jenna
Sister – Katelyn (Cullen) McPeak
Nieces and nephew – Maddie, Brooklyn and Maverick McPeak
Grandmother – Rachel Brent
Special Aunt and Uncle – Joy and Wally Gray
Dear Friend – Jackie Walker

A celebration of life will be held for Joey at 6:00 PM on July 12th with visitation beginning at 5 at Providence Church in Mt. Juliet.
