‘Favourite’ curry house 40 minutes from Birmingham named one of the best Asian restaurants in the UK

A curry restaurant just a 40 minute drive from Birmingham has been named as one of the best in the country. Henley-in-Arden’s Naya was among 100 other restaurants that were honored at the House of Lords earlier this month.

The event, organized by the Asian Catering Federation (ACF), saw a presentation to owners of the new Top 100 Asian Restaurants – which featured five in the Midlands, including Naya.

Naya in Henley’s High Street presents ‘a taste of Bangladesh and India’ allowing diners to ‘savour its clever blend of exotic spices, delicate herbs, meats and vegetables’.

Popular menu items include the Karahi with chicken or lamb, described as a Bangladeshi dish with selected herbs, spices, fresh garlic, fried tomatoes, green peppers and onions. The restaurant also serves a range of Baltis, biryanis, fish dishes, tandoori and Tawa.

Old favorites on the menu include Madras, Vindaloo, Bhuna, Kurma and Dhansak which can all be prepared with chicken, lamb, prawn, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, king prawns or vegetables.

Naya boasts a 4.5 star rating on Tripadvisor – with one diner calling it their ‘favourite place to eat out’. David said: “Back again at Naya for my 81st birthday. As always great food and ambience and extremely well looked after by all the staff. Prices very fair. My favorite place to eat out.”
