Human remains from Clifton Suspension Bridge: Major questions as suspect remains at large

It has been almost 24 hours since the shocking incident, which saw two suitcases, with suspected human remains inside, thrown onto the Clifton Suspension Bridge. A suspect then ran from the scene in the direction of Leigh Woods, with an appeal in progress to find him.

Officers are searching bush in the Leigh Woods area and have released CCTV images of the man they are trying to find, advising the public not to approach him if they see him.

He is described as black with a beard. He was wearing an Adidas baseball cap and black sneakers with thick white soles, as well as a gold earring and carrying a black backpack. He remains at large at the time of writing and has now been on the run for approximately 19 hours.
