Wigan Athletic Keen on Leyton Orient Target Caolan Boyd-Munce

Leyton Orient have now failed with two bids for St Mirren midfielder Caolan Boyd-Munce, with Wigan Athletic mulling a bid of their own, according to the Daily Record.

Os have zeroed in on Boyd-Munce as a player they want to bring to Brisbane Road this summer, but agreeing a deal with St Mirren is proving difficult.

The Scottish Premiership side have now rejected two bids for the 24-year-old from Leyton Orient.

Now Leyton Orient could have further competition for Boyd-Munce as Wigan have expressed an interest in the player.

Wigan are now considering a bid for the midfielder, but St Mirren are clear they must not sell him.

Boyd-Munce is now entering the final 12 months of his contract with St Mirren, however the club would like to keep him, especially for the upcoming Europa Conference League games.

Leyton Orient finished eleventh in League One last term, while Wigan were one place behind in the table.

It is unclear whether Boyd-Munce has a preference between the two English clubs.

The Belfast-born midfielder has been capped by Northern Ireland at senior international level.
