The famous Fox looks at the transfer bid as the ‘special’ star of Leicester City, almost relegated

A high-profile but out-of-favour player, Leicester City should evaluate a few transfer offers from outside clubs. Will the Nigerian international leave the Foxes? Meanwhile, LCFC are chasing a relegated Luton Town star. Would Elijah Adebayo be a good signing for the Filbert Way outfit? Leicester Foxes with news and views as always, including our take on goalkeeper Mads Hermansen which suggests something special may be in store for the Leicestershire side again.

Well, the likable goalkeeper spoke about the upcoming Premier League season. I am sure he is absolutely thrilled and excited in equal measure! However, the Dane, now a three-year veteran as No.1 between the sticks for Brondby and LCFC, backed the King Power club to do something “special” in the upcoming campaign.

Specifically, Hermansen claims that his soon-to-be new experience in the English top flight could be a good one. That is, despite most promoted teams going straight back; we’re about to see all three of us relegated from the current EPL once again. However, the 23-year-old is confident City will make their mark in 2024/25:

“I believe we can get good results. It’s hard for me to say where I think we could go or what we can achieve, but with my teammates, I know we can do something very special as a team.”

Iheanacho is clearly not favored by Leicester head coach Enzo Maresca. Therefore, the best solution must be found for all concerned – especially for the Nigerian. Turkish outfits Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas are all named as admirers.

As Iheanacho assesses a trio of proposals from these interested parties, Leicester may be wise to secure their forward line before allowing the former Manchester City man to leave. You see, Jamie Vardy is getting older and has yet to sign a new deal; all amid transfer rumors regarding the former England striker.

Patson Daka is certainly an inconsistent footballer. Then you have the curious case of Tom Cannon: he too seems to be somewhat in the wilderness as far as the Maresca faith is concerned. Cannon wasn’t even in every matchday squad when he was available.

If Iheanacho exits the King Power, there will still be a link with Nigeria at LCFC through much-loved midfielder Wilfred Ndidi. And another player of Nigerian descent could also join the Foxes if the claims are correct. That’s because City are monitoring Elijah Adebayo. He is an imposing and skilful centre-forward whose 10 EPL goals have caught the eye:

The Foes, who will be busy in the market following their promotion to the Premier League, have identified Adebayo as a player they would like to sign to strengthen their squad in the summer.

Previous reports have indicated that Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also interested in securing the signature of the eligible Super Eagles striker.

Meanwhile, according to Givemesport, new reports suggest that Kelechi Iheanacho has no plans to sign a new contract with Leicester City. Consequently, the club is exploring options for his replacement.”
