Brent crude is trading at $85.65/bbl

Crude oil prices rose by Rs 38 to Rs 6,896 a barrel in futures trade on Thursday as participants widened their positions on firm sight demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for July delivery was trading up Rs 38 or 0.03% at Rs 6,896 a barrel in 5,007 lots.

Analysts said increased betting by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trading. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude rose 0.67 percent to $82.65 a barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.67 percent higher in New York at $85.65 a barrel.
