Clifford was arrested on suspicion of triple murder

The Enfield man remains in a serious condition in hospital after he was found at Lavender Hill Cemetery on Wednesday.

Kyle Clifford was arrested on suspicion of murdering three women.

The 26-year-old from Enfield, of Rendlesham Road, spent most of Wednesday on the run from police after being wanted in connection with the deaths of Carol Hunt, 61, and her daughters they, Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, at their home. in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on Tuesday night (9).

A crossbow is understood to have been used in the attack and the police search has focused on Enfield, with schools put on alert as he remains at large. Clifford was eventually found at a location inside Lavender Hill Cemetery, but due to the injuries he was discovered with, he was initially unable to speak to the police.

Clifford remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the victims’ families at this tragic time.

“The investigation is moving at pace and as a result we have now arrested a man. Research is ongoing at this time.”

Clifford is an alumnus of Chace Community School.
