Shoppers praise the ‘scent of summer’ Sol de Janeiro SPF body spray that gives a ‘gorgeous glow’

Sometimes the smell of a body spray or sunscreen can instantly transport you to a white sand beach with the sun setting – and Sol de Janeiro’s new Rio Radiance Body Spray promises to do just that. With the weather warming up, now is the perfect time to lather on those SPF products, and the latest in the Sol de Janeiro range is an SPF50 body spray with the irresistible scent of Cheirosa 87.

Not only does the spray smell delicious, but it protects skin from UV rays while providing a luminous glow—oh, and it’s also water-resistant for up to 40 minutes. Enriched with niacinamide, pongamia seed and pitanga extract, the sunscreen protects skin from urban pollutants and environmental aggressors to visibly brighten and even skin tone.

Coconut water can also be found in the formula, which is known for its moisturizing benefits, providing a cooling sensation while enjoying the sun. The SPF50 summer must-have is lined with Sol de Janeiro’s beach scent, packed with top notes of elite coco, sunny tuberose and creamy vanilla – so you’ll smell great, even as you swelter in the heat.

The best of all? The new body spray is on sale for £28.80 down from £36 at Look Fantastic as well as Boots (£40), Cult Beauty (£40) and Space NK (£36). So it’s the perfect opportunity to grab one in time for the summer holidays. There are plenty of glowing reviews, too, with shoppers calling it the “perfume of the summer” and impressed by its SPF protection.

The spray leaves a beautiful, luminous glow on the skin

One delighted buyer said: “Absolutely perfect: fragrance, texture, ease of application and protection. The skin is soft and non-greasy and I didn’t tan after a full day of gardening in the sun. The smell is divine. I didn’t expect anything less from sol de janeiro”

A second added: “Absolutely love this spray, it leaves a nice glow and the smell is amazing – unlike so many other sunscreens out there.” While a third said: “What an amazing SPF, leaves skin hydrated and looks amazing in the sun. Just a little greasy so I have to wait a bit before I wear it for it to dry, but I would definitely buy it again.”

Despite the many glowing reviews, it seems not everyone was a fan, with one customer saying, “I don’t smell as good as the rest of the sol products.”

You can buy the body spray on sale at Look Fantastic now and it’s also available from Boots, Cult Beauty and Space NK. If you’re after something a little cheaper but just as good (IMO), La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios Invisible Spray SPF 50+ is on sale for £19.12 instead of £23.90.
