The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett are in the top 20 in the new one-sided rankings for 2024

Students ranked Uni of Leeds sixth and Leeds Beckett 14th in the UK

In a new 2024 rankings list published by StudentCrowd UK, the University of Leeds was ranked sixth and Leeds Beckett ranked 14th.

The ranking is based on student reviews, allowing the list to demonstrate “the best universities by student experience”, according to StudentCrowd UK.

Student ratings, from which the ranking is based, are divided into the following categories: Campus/Facilities, Clubs and Societies, Student Union, Career Service and Internet/Wifi. Overall, the University of Leeds received 4.41 stars out of 5 and Beckett 4.31 stars.

The top five universities included Queen’s University Belfast, University of St Andrews, University of Birmingham, University of Sheffield, with Ulster University coming out on top with the highest ranking of 4.49 out of five stars.

However, the top three UK universities in the latest QS World University Rankings (University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and UCL) did not make the top 20.

StudentCrowd UK highlights the importance of these reviews as “UCAS research shows that ‘online student reviews’ are the second most important resource for university applicants”. These rankings spotlight “universities that had such a positive impact on students that they wanted to write about and share their experiences online.”

We hope that our Leeds universities continue to rise in future rankings.
