A Colindale councilor has welcomed the opening of a new cycle lane for the ward.

Nagus Narenthira praised Cycleway 51, which links Colindale station to Watling Avenue near Burnt Oak station, via Silkstream Park and Montrose playing fields.

It’s part of over 200 miles of cycle networks across the capital, making cycling easier and safer.

Cllr Narenthira said: “Barnet Labor Council and the Labor Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, want to make sure residents have as many travel options as possible. The new cycle track offers local residents”.
