12 bedroom Victorian mansion among Cornwall properties for auction

A stunning 12-bedroom Victorian mansion is among the Cornish properties to be auctioned later this month. The “fairly large” detached house, set on 1.5 acres near Launceston, has a freehold guide price of £560,000-plus at auction on Wednesday, July 24.

Yeolmbridge House, at Yeolmbridge, has 12 bedrooms, a dairy and milking parlour, cellar, cold storage, summer room, a summer house, servants’ quarters, walled gardens and an orchard, together with a private drive. Requiring extensive refurbishment, the character property is among 165 lots listed in the latest auction, organized by one of the UK’s top five property auctioneers, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

Auctioneer James Lofthouse said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a substantial detached period residence. The property boasts a wealth of character, not to mention the interestingly attached former servants’ cottages, coach house, conservatories and attractive walled gardens to the rear.

“However, it requires extensive renovation to restore it to its former glory. It will certainly appeal to owner occupiers looking to recreate a stunning family home. Others may consider the potential for further development, subject to obtaining all necessary consents.”

Yeolmbridge House is up for auction in agreement with Webbers of Launceston. See https://www.cliveemson.co.uk for more details and scroll down to the other properties coming up for auction soon.
