Super League attendances as Hull derby dwarfed by strong Wigan v St Helens crowd

Hull FC recorded their second lowest ever Hull derby crowd at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, with the official attendance given as 15,392. The lowest crowd was back in 2021, albeit at the end of the coronavirus pandemic, when just 13,709 watched Hull defeat Rovers 23-22.

Hull KR, meanwhile, completed a first clean sweep over Hull since 2009 with their 24-10 success, following on from wins on the opening round and at Easter. They’ve also won the last four derbies at the MKM Stadium and six of the last eight at all venues across the last three seasons.

Elsewhere, Wigan Warriors and St Helens recorded a huge figure of 20,152 at the DW Stadium, with the home side holding firm to defeat the Saints 16-12. The victory keeps Matt Peet’s side four points clear at the top of the Super League table, with a game still in hand.
