Leeds United said to pay £7m for 23-year-old who scored against Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea last season – Journalist

Leeds United have set their sights on Sheffield United right-back Jayden Bogle this month and have now been told the Blades’ asking price.

Daniel Farke’s pre-season program begins with a first game this week and transfer efforts are starting to accelerate in a few areas.

Midfield has been a key topic of conversation so far with the ins and outs, but the German will need more at right-back.

Leeds are interested in Sheffield United’s Jayden Bogle

A report from The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath said at the weekend that Leeds were ready to make a move to sign Sheffield United right-back Jayden Bogle.

The 23-year-old and his side were relegated from the Premier League last season in 20th place, scoring three times for the Blades, interestingly coming against Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Chris Wilder’s side are struggling through the transfer window at the moment as they await a takeover as they start the campaign with minus two points.

Sheffield United have set their asking price for Jayden Bogle amid interest from Leeds

Following the news, journalist Alan Nixon said the Blades had set their asking price for the right-back.

The South Yorkshire club are looking for a fee of around £7m to let the defender join Leeds this summer.

Bogle was due to see his contract expire this summer, but his club have triggered a one-year extension to keep him until 2025, meaning he is in the final 12 months of his deal.

Bogle would be a great signing for Leeds at right back

In terms of what Farke needs from his right-back move this season, Bogle fits the bill nicely now.

It’s a big price to pay if the Blades don’t move on, but that kind of signing is what a title-winning side needs to do.

With Junior Firpo on the left, it’s vital for us to have someone to match him, with runs at the back and quality to carry the ball.
