Look who signed up for Coventry City’s Spanish training camp

Coventry City welcomed back joint striker Haji Wright today as he joined Mark Robins’ squad in the Spanish training camp.

The 26-year-old striker was given extensions after competing in the Copa America for the US national team, although he crashed out in the group stage along with fellow Sky Blues Kasey Palmer and Joel Latibeaudiere, who also failed to make the cut. -stages with Jamaica.




City flew to Valencia on Sunday for a week’s training camp after smashing the cobwebs with a 3-0 behind closed doors friendly win over League Two Port Vale at Loughborough University on Saturday. Wright made his own way to Spain with his other teammates today (Monday).

Wright could play for the first time on Friday when City take on La Liga side Getafe CF in another behind closed doors match to be televised live. The match is scheduled to be played at the Oliva Nova Sport Center in Valencia and Getafe say it will be streamed on YouTube here.

Coventry’s first domestic game that fans can go to watch is at League One Stevenage next Tuesday, July 23 (7pm) at the Lamex Stadium.
