Man charged with murder of Palmers Green pensioner

No one else is wanted by police after the fatal stabbing in Millicent Grove

A man has been charged over the murder of a pensioner in Palmers Green.

Aleks Tsachev, 21, of no fixed address, was due to appear at the Old Bailey this morning (Monday 13). Both men were known to each other and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Police were called at around 12.30pm on Tuesday 7 May to reports of a man stabbed at an address in Millicent Grove. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Despite the efforts of the paramedics, the 66-year-old man he died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Police are not naming the victim at this time pending confirmation that other family members have been notified.

A 16-year-old boy was also treated for stab wounds; He is expected to make a full recovery.
