Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall sat down at Wimbledon today

From the city and the country

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall has had quite a busy week so far. She attended Prince Louis’ christening on Monday and was spotted at the Royal Air Force’s birthday bash yesterday. But this morning, she took a break from her official royal duties to attend Wimbledon, the world’s oldest tennis tournament.

Marking the ninth day of the 14-day sporting event, Camilla watched Serbia’s Novak Djokovic play Japan’s Kei Nishikori during the men’s quarter-final match. The King stayed by her sister Annabel Elliot’s side throughout the competition and they appeared to be having a blast.

For her day at court, Camilla looked gorgeous in a pleated white v-neck dress with polka dots. She accessorized the outfit with a gray clutch bag, gold bracelet, pearl earrings and beige heels.

It’s a new ensemble for Camilla, who has been seen recycling her wardrobe quite a bit in recent months, but certainly not a new aesthetic. For someone who seems to prefer simple styles, Camilla is clearly a fan of polka dots and has worn her fair share of the pattern over the years.

The royal presence at Wimbledon is a one-off and has been for years. In particular, Princess Diana was a big fan of the annual event, as were Prince William and Duchess Kate.

In addition to Camilla, Sophie, Countess of Wessex attended the tour today, as did Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her sister Pippa. While future center court appearances have yet to be announced, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge there later this week, or even the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
