CCTV frees 5 men after ‘homophobic attack’ in Arcadian

Police in Birmingham have launched an appeal for help after disorder outside a restaurant in the city ended with attacks and homophobic slurs being hurled at a member of the public. The reported attack took place in March, but Birmingham police this week asked the public if they could help identify the five men pictured in their CCTV appeal.

The high-quality CCTV images were released by Birmingham Police on their X page on July 18, along with a statement. The force has released the images of the men they would like to speak to in connection with the reported crime, which took place in Arcadian on Saturday, March 30.

Officers said the disturbance broke out outside Café Soya in the Arcadian, which is located in the city’s Chinatown and close to the Gay Village. Officers have provided a CCTV image and log number so anyone with information that can help can get in touch directly.
