Coventry’s Rialto Plaza is set to become an ‘exceptional foodie destination’ with cocktails, beer and street food

A new street food hangout is opening soon in Coventry. Neighborhood Social takes over Rialto Plaza in Coundon.

Bosses say the new venue will redefine the way people socialize in the city, offering beers on tap, cocktails and premium street food. It will be open on Saturday, September 7.

Work is underway to convert the 8,000 sq ft venue on Moseley Avenue into a bar and catering venue with the aim of providing a ‘community hangout’. It will offer street food, cocktails and beers with a relaxed feel, taking inspiration from Birmingham’s Hockley Social Club and Liverpool’s Baltic Market.

Neighborhood Social will open four times a week and offer a full calendar of events throughout the year. Thursdays will be open from 5pm for food and drink, including regular comedy and quiz nights, while Fridays will be event nights, open from 5pm for food and drink, with ticketed events, live music and DJ later in the evening.

On Saturday, the new city venue will open from 12pm for food and drink, with a bottomless offer available throughout the day, including cocktails, draft beer and street food. Bosses said there will be ‘Live Sessions’ every week from 7pm, with free entry in the evening for craft beer, cocktails and live music, showcasing the best bands from the Midlands.

Revelers will be treated to a new weekly club night for the over 21s called ‘After Hours’ from 10pm. Sunday will be relaxed with plenty of options from street food vendors, football on the big screens and music from a DJ.
