Jack Farrimond has expressed his desire to learn and improve alongside his team-mates ahead of Saturday’s trip to Hull FC.

The teenager has started Wigan’s last three Betfred Super League matches against London Broncos, Leigh Leopards and St Helens, which included two tries and six goals in the Warriors’ Round 15 win over London.

Speaking about his transition from the Warriors Academy to the First Team, Farrimond said: “It came on quickly. The growth has definitely been much more physical and faster, and although these moments are very nice and proud, I have to keep working because this is just the beginning.”

On playing against Betfred Super League opposition, Farrimond said: “The nerves are still there and will be for a while. Every week you get a new team and a player sits in front of you who brings a different skill set, which is challenging. I expect things to get more difficult.”

Farrimond added: “I’ve just been told to face whoever is in front of you and don’t worry about anyone on the outside because someone else will take care of it. The most important thing is to go out there and find my job first.”

Of his Warriors teammates, Farrimond added: “I’ve enjoyed every minute of the experience from the start of pre-season until now. We have a great group of guys who are all eager to learn and help each other get better.”

Tickets for Saturday’s Betfred Super League Round 18 match against Hull FC remain on sale from The Brick Community Stadium Box Office and online HERE.
